MY TOP 20 FAVORITE GREEN CHARACTERS

Green, the color of nature; growth; balance; generosity and wealth. Not necessarily a color represented either good or bad, but be new life. This little list has a bit of all those possibilities. Some easier to see then others. Green might be skin color; vehicle or clothing. Kind of a random list which probably could of been longer if I really wanted to, but I didn't. Anything that is related somehow to the color, it is eligible. Warning: this list is most likely very geeky. That is all. Around here that is business as usual.

20. Frankenstein's Monster (Mary Shelley)

The monster and the victim so to speak. A creation from dead body parts. Stitched together and animated by electricity. Doctor Victor Frankenstein wanted to know what being God was like. The result was a instinctual abomination that had great power in his body but a chaotic mind.

19. Theodore Seville ('Alvin and the Chipmunks')

The little brother to Alvin and Simon. Loves food; loyal; shy; sweet and an awesome drummer

18. Rogue ('X-Men')

Sweet southern belle, who can absorb another powers or life energy by merely touching them. Lethal to the touch though usually the results are temporarily. This does allow her to access others powers which is good in a fight.

17. Green M&M (M&M/MARS)

The smart sexy confident Green M&M runs circles around everyone else.

16. She Hulk (Marvel Comics)

Cousin of Bruce Banner without the emotional package. She was shot and given a blood transfusion to save her life using Bruce's blood. She can control the changes and likes being a green giant. She is also a lawyer and publicly known as a Hulk.

15. Green Lion ('Voltron III: Defender of the Far Universe')

The left Mechanical arm of Voltron and one of five lions. Built in weapons originally from the jungle realm of Areis

14. Green Ranger ('Mighty Morphin Power Rangers')

The sixth power ranger from the original series from 1993. Was a bad guy who later turned good thus joining the team. Cool sword which can play as a flute to summon a giant black/green dragon. The Green Ranger would later become White Ranger; Red Ranger (twice); and then black. Makes the head dizzy

13. Gumby ('Gumby')

A bendy piece of green clay with a slant top for a head. Can walk into any book with his friends, mainly a red pony named Pokey. Typical life lessons and weirdness that can come from stop motion animnation.

12. Martian Manhunter ('Justice League of America')

A telepathic shape changing soul survivor of Mars. Accidentally brought to Earth as a psychic plague wiped out his people. Addicted to Coca cola and Oreos. He studies the human culture and protects it while still being a strnager in a strange land.

11. Slimer ('Ghostbusters')

A mucus looking ghost with child like behavior, that floats around eating anything not nailed down. He is a friend/mascot to The Ghostbusters.

10. Luigi Mario ('Mario Brothers')

The taller/thinner younger brother to Mario. Nervous at time who tends to question the logic of going into danger, but is reliable.

9. Swamp Thing (DC Comics)

The sawmp is his world. It's what he is. It's who he is. He was once a man, he knows the evil men do. Do not bring your evil here. Beware his wrath.

8. Springer ('Transformers')

Wise cracking tough guy of action, who is also an Autobot. Triple changer that can turn into a helicopter and a car. Self sacrificing but has a bit of an ego. He can can back it up most of the time.

7. The Incredible Hulk ('The Incredible Hulk')

Bruce Banner was stricken by Gamma Rays and thus became the Hulk. But his emotional scars happened as a child. His Father killed his mother. Bruce was a abused, creating an imaginary friend known as 'Hulk'. Not to mention he was born with a genetic mutation, thanks to his father's self-experimentation, allowing Bruce to survive the Gamma exposure in the first place. Yeah, anger is built up in this multiple personality disorder frame.

6. Shrek and Fiona ('Shrek')

A matching pair. Fairy tales get tossed on their head. A smelly ogre who likes no one, is the hero. Saves the day and gets the princess. Still crude; rude; uncouth and smelly, but he is the good guy who saves the day eventually. And Fiona is a princess who takes a backseat to no one. She wears green and we find out she turns green. She was human who turned into an ogre at night. By choosing Shrek she is an ogre for good. She holds her own in a fight every time.

5. Yoda ('Star Wars')

A very short 800 plus old Jedi that speaks in a weird sentence structure. One of the greatest of his order. Moves like lightning for someone with cane. Master of the force and all, I guess.

4. Yo-Yo the DoDo ('Looney Tunes')

Last of the DoDo who is surreal as is crazy. Wears an umbrella on his head. Voice shifts and acts on cartoon logic.

3. Marvin the Martian ('Looney Tunes')

A short alien that wears a war helmet with sneakeras and gladiator garb. No mouth; ears and no face. Big eyes and a black head. Sound comes from somewhere. All his Earth invasion plans never work because he outsmarts himself.

2. Shaggy Rogers ('Scooby Doo')

Tall skinny guy who lovess food and doesn't like danger. Comdey relief. Best friend is a Great Dane (Scooby Doo) and together tend to solve the mysteries by accident due to their own 'cowardice' but are loyal to their friends.

1. Green Lantern (DC Comics)

Anyone can technically be a Green Lantern. There is literally a 'Green Lantern Corp'. Pretty huge. Any species from any part of the Universe. Must be able to conquest personal fear to bear the power ring. A weapon that can turn any though into an energy construct.
